As executive office of “Suisse Eole” for German-speaking Switzerland, we represent the interests of wind energy in Switzerland, focusing primarily on building bridges between the various interest groups such as the population, environmental protection organizations, public authorities, project developers and others.
Over the years, we have acquired broad and deep expertise in the field of wind energy and know the Swiss wind energy landscape in detail. We closely monitor developments in the industry, including those beyond the Swiss border, and act as a competent advisory and information center (offering political, legal, technical and strategic advice) for questions and concerns on all relevant topics. We cultivate contacts with the federal government, cantons and municipalities as well as project developers, energy supply companies, NGOs and research institutions and use this network to push forward wind energy in Switzerland. In addition to our advisory tasks, we proactively endeavor to develop procedural strategies, statements, position papers and proposed solutions to current and future problems (fauna-related, successor model for the promotion of renewables, etc.) within the framework of various working groups.
Our expertise also includes communication and public relations. We deal with media inquiries, hold presentations at various events and universities, write media releases and newsletters and manage two websites, the content of which we always keep up to date. Basic management office activities, such as supporting the Board of Directors and members, organizing general meetings and exchanges of experience and, last but not least, the entire finance department are also part of our day-to-day work.
From 1998 to 2020, we managed the head office and secretariat of the Suisse Eole association, which has around 300 members. Since 2020, we have been splitting our office activities with our partners in French-speaking Switzerland and are concentrating specifically on the activities that arise in German-speaking Switzerland.
